Until we begin to really understand the importance of looking after ourselves, often we have a narrow understanding of health. Often viewing health as a condition of the physical body, disassociated from a mental or spiritual side. And so, we may pay good attention to our physical wellbeing while neglecting other areas of human experience.

Increasingly we are discovering that the state of our mind, emotions, and spirit have significant impact on both our health and our recovery rate when illness strikes.

The term 'Holistic Health'- taking care of the whole being has become generalized to include the use of many things, to name just a few:

  • Herbs & flowers,
  • Mental imagery,
  • Aromas
  • Massage and other forms
    of healing contact
  • Hypnosis

There are many areas within each domain of 'human experience' which enter into the concept of health. A good way to aproach the idea of holistic health in our lives is with an attitude of wellness in ALL areas of human experience -- body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
