Anxiety Disorders

ANXIETY SUPPORT CANTERBURY

Anxiety Support Canterbury is
an organisation which works with people for whom an anxiety or a phobia
has significantly impacted their lives and their ability to function
well.
We offer free information, education,
resources, newsletters and inspiration to people who experience many
types of anxieties and phobias and who live in Christchurch and North
Canterbury, New Zealand.

We also have support groups for Social
Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Agoraphobia & Panic Disorder.
Activities include regular chat/open forum meetings; clinician led education
sessions and the use of speakers & topics to develop understanding
of the effects of anxieties/phobias and how to manage them.

ASC is staffed by people who have experience
of significant anxieties or phobias. Their journeys are role models
of recovery for the people who come to us for help. We believe in every
person's potential to recover and to make anxiety a diminishing part
of their life's experience.
